Flat Rock Cellars Good Karma Chardonnay 2020 (Niagara Peninsula, $16.95 LCBO #56873, to be released Sept. 18th)
Bright, straw colour; apple bouquet with a thread of minerality; medium-bodied, dry, apple and lemon flavours caried on lively acidity. (88)

Flat Rock Cellars Unplugged Chardonnay 2020 (Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara, $17.95, LCBO #68015, to be released Oct. 16th)
Straw colour; leesy, apple nose; light to medium-bodied, crab apple flavour with citrus acidity; nicely balanced and long in the mouth. (89)

Flat Rock Cellars Sparkling Twisted 2020 (Ontario, $19.95, LCBO #14421, to be released December 11th)
Riesling with a hint of Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer. Pale straw in colour with an apple nose; fresh and lively on the palate with apple and pear flavours and a note of orange. (89)

Henry of Pelham Speck Family Reserve Cabernet-Merlot 2019 (Short Hills Bench, Niagara, $39.95, Vintages #616433, to be released October 16th)
Ruby-purple in colour; cedary, black plum and blackcurrant bouquet; medium-bodied, dry, plum and redcurrant flavour; well-balanced, evident but soft tannins. Needs 1–2 years bottle ageing. (89–90)

Gérard Bertrand Rèserve Spéciale Viognier 2020 (Pays d’Oc, $14.95, Vintages #147975, to be released November 27th)
Bright, light golden colour; aromatic, peach pit nose; medium-bodied, dry, white peach flavour with lemony acidity. (89)

Luigi Bosca Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Luigi Bosca Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 (Mendoza, $18.95, Vintages #128629, to be released October 30th)
Deep ruby in colour; tobacco, cedar and black fruits on the nose; full-bodied, dry, rich and full on the palate with blackcurrant and blackberry flavours; well-integrated oak and mellow tannins. Great value. (90)
