Wednesday, February 11th: Chorus rehearsal night so an early dinner – a repeat of last night’s dinner with Vicente Faria Lisbon by Night 2022 (a Syrah blend from the Douro).

Thursday, February 12th: Dinner: Prosciutto and Parmesan pasta with prosciutto and parmesan, with a bottle of Leyda Pinot Noir Reserva 2024.

Friday, February 13th: Visited On Seven winery for a comparative tasting of their 2023 Pinot Noir and 2020 Pinot Noir. Wll write about the 2023 Pinot when it’s released later this year. Dinner: chicken breast in a cream sauce with Hans Baer Sauvignon Blanc Trocken 2024 (Rheinhessen).

Saturday, February 14th: Steak dinner with Concha y Toro Casillera del Diablo Reserva Privada 2023.

Sunday, February 15th: Lunched at Kaiserhaus in Port Dalhousie. I had a pork schnitzel sandwich and Deborah had goulash, which she said was better than what we ate in Hungary! The accompanying wine, two 8oz glasses of Kaiserhaus Spätburgunder 2021. Dinner: chicken with Sempre Mio Marsanne 2024 (Lincoln Lakeshore).
