Friday December 1st: The local chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization asked me to choose and present the wines at their Great Lakes Holiday Party to be held at Langdon Hall in Cambridge. The theme of the party was “Lumberjack Chic.” I have never seen so much red and black check in one place.
In keeping with the theme, I decided to go for an all-Canadian line-up of wines to match Chef Jason’s gorgeous menu.
The dessert table was set up in a large enclosed space Langdon Hall calls The Winter House.
The invitation read: “The festivities will unfold in an awe-inspiring outdoor setting reminiscent of a true Canadian winter wonderland. Imagine being surrounded by a canopy of twinkling lights, all while cozying up around warm, crackling fires. This magical outdoor backdrop will grace our reception and post-dinner celebrations, creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy.”
A truly memorable evening finished off with a VSOP Cognac in our room by the fire!
