A Wine Lover’s Diary, Part 891: Muskoka Wines & Township 7

Deborah and I spent three days on Lake Muskoka in a friend’s cottage during which time we managed to demolish the following wines.

Dinner wines in Muskoka

As well as Township 7 Seven Stars Aurora 2019, a Blanc de Noir sparkler from Okanagan Falls (Pale straw in colour with an active mousse of tiny bubbles; medium-bodied, dry, delicate, crisply dry with a flavour of wild strawberries and a long satisfying finish (91)), and Henry of Pelham Special Select Late Harvest Vidal 2019, which we drank with Deborah’s amazing peach cobbler (Deep golden colour; honeyed peach nose; full-bodied and unctuous, peach and honey flavours balanced with palate-cleansing acidity (92)).

I got to wear my new shirt which I’m not allowed to wear in town.
