With 20% Pinot Gris added “for structure.” Salmon pink in colour; minerally, saline-tinged nose of candied strawberries. Medium-bodied, just off-dry, fruity, strawberry and raspberry flavours with balancing acidity. (89)
Rosehall Run UV Pinot Noir Nedelko Vineyard 2020 ($39; Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula)
Deep ruby-purple in colour; intense, cedary nose of black plum and wood smoke with oak spice; medium-bodied, dry, firmly structured, plum and strawberry flavours with evident but ripe tannins; well-structured and nicely integrated oak. Needs a year or two of cellaring. (89–91)
Rosehall Run St. Cindy Chardonnay 2020 ($74)
Unfiltered. Light straw colour; minerally, toasty nose of yellow apples with a floral top note; medium to full-bodied, dry, nutty, apple flavour with oak spice. Well-balanced, well-integrated oak and harmonious. Lovely mouth-feel with a long lemony finish. (91)
