The Farm wines

The Farm Chardonnay 2020 (Twenty Mile Bench, $25): Bright, light straw in colour; toasty, spicy, apple bouquet; medium-bodied, dry, apple and peach flavours with a nutty finish. Beautifully balanced with lemony acidity. (90)

The Farm Pinot Noir 2020 ($27): Medium ruby colour; lifted raspberry nose with oak spice; medium-bodied, dry, lean and sinewy, raspberry and sour cherry flavour. Volnay-style. (90)

The Farm Pinot Noir Neudorf Vineyard 2019 ($55): Ruby with a tawny hue; raspberry nose with tealeaf and tobacco notes; medium-bodied, dry, elegant, well-balanced, nicely integrated oak. Lovely mouth-feel. (91)

The Farm Pinot Noir Mason Vineyard 2019 ($50): Ruby with a tawny hue; raspberry nose with oak spice; medium-bodied, dry; richer mouth-feel than the Neudorf and a shade deeper in colour; black raspberry flavour. Great length. (92)

Lakeside Cellars’ Lakeshore vineyard is perched on the east shore of Lake Osoyoos in the southern Okanagan Valley.

Lakeside Cellars Bubbles 2021: Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc under crown cap. Pale straw colour; frothy (“forced carbonation”), slightly grassy nose of green plums; light-bodied, crisply dry with green apple and grapefruit flavour, finishing on a saline note. (88.5)

Lakeside Cellars Sauvignon Blanc 2021: Pale straw colour; grassy, green plum nose; medium-bodied, crisply dry; grapefruit and passionfruit flavours carried on zesty acidity. (91)

Lakeside Cellars Portage White 2021: A blend of 53% Sauvignon Blanc 16% Pinot Gris and 31% unoaked Chardonnay. Light straw colour; spicy, leesy, apple and grapefruit bouquet; medium-bodied, dry; flavourful, green peach and grapefruit flavours; beautifully balanced. (90)

Lakeside Cellars Rosé 2021: 100% Cinsault. Pale salmon pink in colour; lightly floral, redcurrant bouquet; medium-bodied, dry, ripe red berry fruit flavours with zesty acidity, finishing on a saline note. (90)

Lakeside Cellars Portage Red 2018: A blend of 43% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Franc, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon. Opaque purple in colour; cedary, toasty, smoky nose of black plum with oak spice; medium to full-bodied, dry, oaky, plum and blackberry flavours with ripe tannins and lively acidity. (88.5)

Lakeside Cellars Cabernet Franc 2018 (Golden Mile Bench, southwest Oliver): Dense purple in colour; cedary, toasty, spicy, earthy-herbal nose with vanilla oak notes; medium to full-bodied, dry, with savoury, red pepper, red plum and redcurrant flavours and mellow tannins. (89)
