I tasted some wines from Fogolar in Niagara:

Fogolar Wines Cabernet Franc 2018 (Niagara Peninsula)
Deep ruby colour; black raspberry and cedar on the nose with toasty oak notes; medium-bodied, dry, blueberry flavour with a chocolate note and a light floral finish. Nicely balanced. (89)

Fogolar Wines Oppenlaender Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2018 (Four Mile Creek, Niagara)
Deep ruby in colour; cedary, blueberry nose with a note of rose petals; medium-bodied, dry, blueberry and black plum flavours; well-balanced and firmly structured. (89)

Fogolar Wines Picone Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2018 (Vinemount Ridge, Niagara)
Opaque purple colour; cedary, blueberry bouquet with a light floral note; medium-bodied, dry, cedary, spicy, blueberry flavour with a note of coconut (American oak?). (89)

Fogolar Wines Riesling 2019
Bright, straw colour; lime and grapefruit nose with a honeyed note and a touch of petrol; light to medium-bodied, just off-dry, honeyed grapefruit flavour with a floral flourish on the finish. (89.5)

Fogolar Riesling Hanck Vineyard 2019 (Twenty Mile Bench)
Bright, light gold colour; minerally, honeyed grapefruit bouquet; light to medium-bodied, dry, lime and grapefruit flavours; long tart green apple and lemon finish. (90)

Henry of Pelham Blanc de Blancs 2016 ($49.95, Vintages #315200)
Golden straw in colour with an active mousse; minerally, toasty, apple bouquet with white blossom notes; medium-bodied, dry, crisp, green apple flavour with a long lemony finish and a note of ginger. (91)

Henry of Pelham Speck Family Reserve Chardonnay 2020 (Short Hills Bench, $29.95, Vintages #616466)
Light straw in colour; toasty, apple nose with oak spice; medium-bodied, dry, elegant; apple flavour with a lemony finish; well-integrated oak. (90)

Amo Cabernet Franc 2020 (Niagara-on-the-Lake)
Opaque purple in colour; cedary, vanilla, blackberry nose; medium-bodied, dry, well-extracted blackberry and plum flavours; firmly structured with ripe tannins and ending on a savoury note, (89)

Closson Chase Vineyard Chardonnay 2019 (Prince Edward County)
Straw coloured; toasty, spicy, apple nose; medium-bodied, dry, buttery, apple flavour with well-integrated oak; full in the mouth with notes of clove and orange on the finish. (91)

Closson Chase The Brock Chardonnay 2019
Medium straw colour with a lime tint; toasty, lightly spicy, apple bouquet with a hint of undergrowth. Medium-bodied, dry, elegant, fresh lemony-green apple flavours; well-balanced and lingering. Very Burgundian in style. (91)

689 Winery Submission 2019 (Napa, $19.95, Vintages #14973)
The name 689 Cellars comes from Chinese numerology, in which six, eight and nine are thought to bring good fortune.
Deep golden colour; spicy, clove-y, toasty nose of peach and pineapple; full-bodied, dry, spicy pineapple flavour with toasty oak notes. (90)

Tarot Napa Valley Cabernet 2018 ($49.95, Vintages #165631, to be released Dec. 11th)
Deep ruby in colour; cedary, blueberry nose with tobacco and rose petal notes; medium to full-bodied, dry, savoury, plum and dark chocolate flavours with evident but ripe cocoa powder tannins, (91)

Pelee Island Winery Bella Sparkling Wine 2019 (Pelee Island, $18.95)
A blend of Chambourcin and Pinot Noir. Reminiscent of a Lambrusco frizzante. Fruity, off-dry plum flavour. Easy drinking and fun. (88)
