I tasted my way through 18 wines from Mission Hill in the Okanagan:

Mission Hill Reserve Brut
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Pale straw in colour with a bready nose of apples. Medium-bodied, dry, full on the palate with peach, apple and lemon flavours. (90)

Mission Hill Chardonnay Jagged Rock Vineyard 2018
Bright straw in colour; spicy pineapple bouquet with a toasty note; medium-bodied, dry, pineapple and orange flavours with oak spice. Fresh and lively on the palate, well-integrated oak with a hint of clove on the finish. (89)

Mission Hill Reserve Chardonnay 2018
Bright, light straw in colour; apple nose with a suggestion of oak; medium-bodied, dry, white peach and lemon flavours with a note of forest floor. Burgundian style. (90)

Mission Hill Pinot Gris 2019
Straw colour; peachy nose with a mineral note; medium-bodied, dry. Well-extracted white peach flavour with lemony acidity. (89)

Mission Hill Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2019
Bright, white gold in colour; lightly grassy, lanolin and green plum bouquet; medium-bodied, dry, passionfruit, grapefruit and gooseberry flavours. Well-balanced and clean. Very Bordelais in style. (90)

Mission Hill Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon Jagged Rock Vineyard 2019
Bright, very pale straw colour; grassy, lanolin nose with a light floral note; medium-bodied, dry, gooseberry and grapefruit flavours with racy acidity. (91)

Mission Hill Simes Vineyard Riesling 2018
Pale straw with a hint of lime; minerally, a little reductive, grapefruit and apple nose; light to medium-bodied, crisply dry, lemon-lime flavour with bracing acidity. Beautifully balanced and refreshing. (91)

Mission Hill Reserve White Meritage 2019
Very pale straw with a hint of lime, floral, lanolin, sweet grass and grapefruit bouquet; medium-bodied, dry, elegant, green plum and grapefruit flavours; fresh on the palate with lively acidity. (90);

Mission Hill Rosé 2019 (74% Merlot/13% Syrah/13% Cabernet Franc)
Pale pink with a bluish tint; medium-bodied, dry, wild strawberry bouquet with a thread of minerality; medium-bodied, dry, strawberry and red apple flavours with a cranberry finish. (89)

Mission Hill Reserve Rosé 2019
Merlot/Shiraz/Pinot Noir. Salmon pink in color; strawberry and raspberry nose with a light floral note; medium-bodied, dry, strawberry, orange and pomegranate flavours. Refreshing. (89)

Mission Hill Reed Creek Organic Merlot 2017
Deep ruby colour; cedary, plum bouquet with oak spice; medium to full-bodied, dry, richly extracted plum and blackberry flavours with balancing acidity and well-integrated oak. (90)

Mission Hill Reserve Merlot 2017
Dense purple in colour; cedary, black cherry and sweet tobacco bouquet with oak spice; full-bodied, dry, lovely ripe black fruit flavours with a floral note; firmly structured with evident tannins and a warm alcoholic finish. (90)

Mission Hill Reserve Pinot Noir 2018
Ruby-purple in colour; cedary, woodsy nose of red fruits; medium-bodied, dry, well-extracted flavours of red plum and raspberry carried on lively acidity. (88.5)

Mission Hill Simes Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018
Deep ruby with a violet tint; reductive nose of strawberry, pencil lead, cedar and oak spice; medium-bodied, dry, strawberry and black raspberry flavour carried on lively acidity to a firm finish. Lovely mouth-feel, elegant, great length. (92)

Mission Hill DeHart Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018
Deep ruby in colour; lightly reductive nose of cedar, evident oak masking fruit at the moment; medium-bodied, dry, floral, plum and black raspberry flavours; firmly structured, ending on ripe tannins. Hold 1–2 years (91- 93)

Mission Hill Vista’s Edge Cabernet Franc 2017
Deep ruby in colour; cedary, plum bouquet with oak spice; medium-bodied, dry, firmly structured, fruity plum and blackberry flavours; well-balanced with nicely integrated oak. (90)

Mission Hill Shiraz 2017
Opaque purple in colour; cedary, herbal, blackberry nose; medium to full-bodied, dry, savoury, blackberry flavour carried on lively acidity. (89)

Mission Hill Border Vista Syrah 2017
Dense purple colour; lifted, herbal, blackberry nose with light oak spice notes; medium-bodied, dry, savoury, blackberry and blackcurrant flavours with lively acidity and a firm tannic finish. (88.5)
