Mouton Cadet Blanc 2016 (Bordeaux – $15.20; LCBO #2527): light straw colour; earthy, minerally, citrus nose with forest floor notes; medium-bodied dry, with lemon, cut grass and grapefruit flavours. (88)
Summerhill Organic Riesling 2017 (Okanagan Valley – $25.29): very pale straw in colour with a lime tint; minerally, grapefruit and apple nose, developing petrol notes; medium-bodied, off-dry, honeyed grapefruit and peach flavours; well-balanced with floral grace note. (88.5)
CedarCreek Gewurztraminer 2017 (Okanagan Valley – $18.99): very pale straw in colour; aromatic, lightly floral, peach with a note of ginger on the nose; medium-bodied, off-dry, sweet grapefruit flavour with a peachy-lychee flavour. (88.5)
Summerhill Alive Organic Wine 2017 (Okanagan Valley – $21.28; a blend of Kerner, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer “with a pinch of Chardonnay and Riesling”): pale straw colour; spicy, aromatic nose of apple and forest floor; medium-bodied, dry, sweet and sour flavours with a bruised apple finish. (87)

Summerhill Alive Organic Wine 2016 (Okanagan Valley – $26.44; a blend of Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc): deep ruby colour; cedary, spicy, plum and blackberry bouquet with vanilla oak notes; medium-bodied, dry and savoury, blackberry flavours with a touch of sweetness. (89)
Château des Charmes Cabernet-Merlot 2016 (Niagara-on-the-Lake – $15.95; LCBO #556951): deep purple-ruby in colour; cedary, currant blueberry bouquet; medium-bodied, richly extracted, plum flavour with grainy but ripe tannins. Good value. (88)
